• Questionnaire answers — your family name, region / heritage, chosen values, style, and any optional details you enter. These form the prompt used to generate your crest.
• Email addresses— yours (for receipts and delivery) and, if you buy a gift, the recipient’s email and any name or message you add.
• Payment information — handled directly by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.
• Technical data — basic request and device data needed to operate and secure the site.

• To deliver your crest and order — performance of our contract with you.
• To send receipts and gift emails — performance of our contract.
• To prevent fraud and keep the service secure — our legitimate interests.
• To comply with tax and legal obligations — legal obligation.

We use the following processors to run the service. Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement:

• Stripe — Payment processing and fraud prevention (United States). Privacy policy.
• Replicate — AI image generation (your questionnaire answers form the prompt) (United States). Privacy policy.
• Resend — Transactional email delivery (receipts and gift delivery) (United States). Privacy policy.
• Vercel — Website hosting and infrastructure (United States). Privacy policy.

Some of our processors are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside your country. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep order and email records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and tax obligations, then delete or anonymise them. Generated crests and their prompts are retained to let you re-download and to support your order. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email familysigil@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

The service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.
